“A Fragmented Whole 2” (2020-2021, Work in Progress)

 I continue to play with fragmented circles in this mosaic.  Each fragment was made as a separate piece and then all pieces were mounted at the end.  Even though I planned where each fragment would go, the final layout changed as each one was joined to the others.  I thought I had finished and the circle was complete, but I found new ways of adding to it.  Like a life story that looks different with each new experience, this story continues...  Moroccan earthenware tile, stone, brick, concrete, gold smalti, thinset
